Terms and conditions



These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials for the Electric Ireland ‘Brighter Things To Do’ Campaign (the “Promotion”). The Promotion is open to residential customers of Electric Ireland who sign up to Electric Ireland Rewards via https://www.electricirelandrewards.ie/ during the Promotional Period (defined below) (the “Customer”). Eligible Customers will receive instructions via email notification on how to claim a free or discounted activity pass (the “Reward”) from TLC (the “Administrator”). Claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all participating Customers of this Promotion hereby agree to these Terms and Conditions and entry into the Promotion shall be deemed to be a full and unconditional acceptance by the Customer of these Terms and Conditions.


Promoter: Electric Ireland, Swift Square, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9, D09 X8PT. Electric Ireland is a division of the Electricity Supply Board.


Administrator: TLC Marketing Worldwide UK Ltd, 54 Baker Street, London, W1U 7BU.


Promotional Period: Promotional start date: 00:01 2nd September 2024


Eligibility: This Promotion is open to Electric Ireland Residential Customers who sign up for Electric Ireland Rewards via their online account during the Promotional Period. This Promotion is open to Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 or over, excluding (i) employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, other group companies, its agents, (ii) employees and the immediate families of the Administrator, its subsidiaries, other group companies, its agents or (iii) anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion. Eligibility is subject to acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Current valid email address and internet access required.


1.     The Reward: One ‘Brighter Things To Do’ activity pass, providing one free or discounted entry to visitor attractions across the Republic of Ireland, for use on https://electricireland-brighterthingstodo.com/. The types of venues included are castles, gardens, museums, sports activities and more. Each Reward voucher is for single usage and must be used during the specified Promotional Period. Only one Reward voucher may be used per booking group.


How to participate:

2.     Once a Customer has signed up for Electric Ireland Rewards on electricirelandrewards.ie they will receive instructions via email notification on how to claim a Reward. This will include a Reward code from electricirelandrewards.ie that will be used on the Reward website (https://electricireland-brighterthingstodo.com/).


3.     On the Reward website Customers must complete the claim form by entering:

a.    First name;

b.    Last name;

c.    Current valid email address;

d.    Reward code obtained from electricirelandrewards.ie; and

e.    Accepting terms and conditions, and viewing the privacy policy.


4.     Once submitted, Customers can access a listings page on the Reward website to browse available attractions and choose a venue to redeem their Reward from. An email will then be sent to Customers via the email address provided. This email will contain their one free or discounted entry Reward voucher for their chosen venue.


5.     Customers must print and present their Reward voucher at their chosen venue.


6.     A Customer can only receive one Reward per account and per household. Multiple Reward claims from the same person/household will not be accepted.


7.     All ‘Brighter Things To Do’ Reward vouchers are valid until 1st August 2025, unless otherwise stated in individual venue T&Cs.


8.     The terms of this Promotion are as stated in these Terms and Conditions and no other representations (written or verbal) shall apply.


Participating Venues

9.     Individual terms and conditions for each venue apply and form part of these Terms and Conditions. Individual venue terms and conditions will be provided when clicking through to each venue. The list of venues remains subject to change and will be listed in full on the promotional website.


10.  Anyone using a Reward voucher under the age of 18 (where applicable) must be accompanied by an adult. Please see your chosen venue’s full terms and conditions for full details and age restrictions.


11.  Participating venues reserve the right to change business hours. The Reward might not be available at some venues due to certain seasonal circumstances, please see individual venue terms and conditions.


12.  It is the responsibility of the customer to check their chosen venues Covid-19 policy before redeeming.


13.  If venues are not suitable or of interest for the particular Customer, these cannot be exchanged with an alternative offer.


14.  Some venues may require participants to contact the venue to book their entry in advance. In this instance, Customers should contact the venue directly to book. Each ‘Brighter Things To Do’ Reward voucher is subject to promotional availability.


General

15.  Neither the Promoter nor Administrator can accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged Reward vouchers. Lost, stolen or damaged Reward vouchers will not be replaced. Original vouchers only will be accepted. Reward vouchers must be redeemed and surrendered upon entry.


16.  Any additional costs which may be incurred in this Promotion in the context of Customer participation, such as internet costs and other additional services that go beyond those described services for Reward fulfilment are not included in the Reward, are excluded from the Promotion and must be paid by customers separately. The cost of travel to and from the Customer’s chosen venue and all other costs and expenses incurred, including, but not limited to, additional tickets, food and drink are excluded from the Promotion.


17.  The Promoter and the Administrator accept no responsibility for any claims that are incomplete, misdirected, illegible, corrupted, lost, damaged, delayed or fail to reach the Administrator and any such claims will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. It is the responsibility of the Customer to provide correct, up-to-date details when claiming their Reward. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for Customers failing to supply accurate information which affects their claim or fulfilment of their Reward.


18.  No cash or other alternative Reward will be provided in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar Reward of equal or greater value. The Reward is not for re-sale, cannot be auctioned or exchanged and are not transferable or redeemable for cash. The Reward cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Unused, expired and redeemed Rewards cannot be refunded, exchanged or returned.


19.  The Promoter and the Administrator reserve the right to require Customers to provide further verification of their identity and eligibility including original documents (passport, driving licence or equivalent) which they must provide within 7 days from request. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a Reward or withdraw Reward entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the Promotion and disqualify the Customer where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the Promotion, any instructions forming part of this Promotion’s claim requirements or otherwise where a Customer has claimed using fraudulent means.


20.  All claims for Rewards must be made by the claimant Customer themselves and not on behalf of anyone else. Claims (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Claims made by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter) and claims which do not satisfy the requirements of these Terms and Conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that a claimant Customer is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase the number of claims into the promotion, those claims will be disqualified and any Reward awarded will be void. The Promoter and Administrator reserves the right to investigate and undertake all such action, as is reasonable, to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims. In addition, the Promoter and the Administrator reserves the right to reject those claims which it considers, in its absolute discretion, are fraudulent or invalid.


21.  Your claim will be deemed invalid if (including but not limited to) you;

a.    Are not an eligible Customer (as defined in clause 1 above);

b.    You are an employee of the Promoter or the Administrator;

c.    Have not claimed your Reward within the specified deadline;

d.    Have not used your Reward within the specified deadline following the conditions specified;

e.    Have failed in any way to otherwise comply with these Terms and Conditions and corresponding partner terms and conditions as determined by the Promoter or the Administrator in its sole discretion.


22.  Insofar as permitted by law, neither the Promoter nor the Administrator, nor its associated companies, will be responsible or liable to compensate the claimant Customer, or accept any liability, for any personal loss, expense or damage in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using the Reward except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Neither can they guarantee the quality and/or availability of the services offered when using the Reward and cannot be held liable for any resulting personal loss or damage. Your statutory rights are unaffected.


23.  The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Promotion and/or these Terms and Conditions of the Promotion at any time and for any reason. The Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation which is caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control.


24.  The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a claimant’s participation in the promotion.


25.  The Promoter’s decision is final with regard to all promotional matters and no correspondence will be entered into, comment issued or reason given.

27.  If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.


Data Protection

28.  Data collected for this Promotion will be used in accordance with these Terms & Conditions. The Promoter will retain a record of your registration to Electric Ireland Rewards for account management purposes. The Administrator will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the Promotion and for no other purpose, unless the Customer has granted Administrator permission to use such data for other purposes.


29.  The Administrator is responsible for fulfilling the Reward. Any data captured in the fulfilment of the Promotion by the Administrator will only be used for validation of claims and for the delivery of the Reward. It will not be used for marketing purposes. Your personal details will at all times be kept confidential.


30.  Data will be held in accordance with current Irish Data Protection legislation and will be stored by the Administrator for up to 3 months from the end of the Promotional Period, after which it will be deleted. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

31.  These Terms and Conditions and any question concerning the legal interpretation of these Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes must be referred to the Irish courts and the Irish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
